About Us
Matt and Craig started putting on gigs as Compass Points North in the summer of 2003, with gigs mostly being at The Cricketers Arms which was an awesome DIY Punk venue in Sheffield circa 2003-2007. After Uni Matt moved to London to work with Camera and film stuff like Britian’s Got Talent and The National Lottery. So we changed our name to Not Shy Of The DIY in August 2006.
Sam joined up with Craig and we have been doing gigs since then and probably will do til whenever. These days we are mostly doing gigs at The Red House and The Riverside. In Summer 2010 I (Craig) started putting out records. Roll of Summer 2012 and I’m onto my 15th release. We also do a bi-annual alldayer called ‘Boozey Du Fest’ and we still put on a gig just about every month and that’s 98 and counting.
